National workshop on boilers held in Pune

PUNE: The National Productivity Council, Mumbai in collaboration with the state Directorate of Steam Boilers has organized a two-day national workshop on technological developments in efficient operation and maintenance of boilers on February 6 and 7 in the city.
A statement issued by the National Productivity Council said that, the workshop has been organised in association with the Central Boilers Board, Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion, union Ministry of Commerce and Industry and supported by leading boiler manufacturers such as Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Industrial Boil-ers, Thermax and Forbes Marshall.

The workshop will provide a platform for sharing of knowledge and experiences in technological advancements in the field of boilers and the current trends in their application, operation and up keep, the statement added. About 200 delegates from Maharashtra and other parts of the country will be attending this workshop, which will be held at the Auto Cluster Development and Research Institute in Chinchwad.

The inaugural function scheduled on February 6 between 9.45 am and 11 am . The inaugural function will be attended by Harbhajan Singh, IAS, Director General, National Productivity Council as well as Arvind Kumar, IAS, Principal Secretary, state Department of Labour and Administration. T.S.G. Narayannen, secretary, Central Boilers Board, New Delhi would be leading the technical deliberations, the statement said.
